Amanda MacNeil


Amanda found yoga as a stressed undergrad student athlete in 2018, and now as a PhD candidate it is integral to her self-care. Having been a gymnast her whole life and competitive cheerleader in college, stepping into yoga was comfortable. When her friend brought her to her first yoga class in 2018, Amanda felt like she found a missing piece and has been practicing consistently since. Yoga has been so much for Amanda: a safe space, a community, and a reprieve from the stressors of life and symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Amanda is so happy to be a part of the Hope Yoga Community. Having moved just down the street 2 years ago, Hope has felt like a home away from home. She can’t wait to take class with you and chat (hint: she really likes talking about books and Taylor Swift!) at the desk soon!
